    (ANI)

'James Bond' legend Roger Moore has landed a role in the British television comedy-drama 'Benidorm'.

The 82-year-old has agreed to play a local dignitary in the Spanish resort for the upcoming series on ITV.

"Roger is a massive fan so we thought it would be fun to get him involved," the Sun quoted an insider as saying.

"They've gone for something which they think he'll be comfortable with - a local dignitary.

"He's known for playing smooth and authoritative characters so it is right up his street," he added.

Moore is due to fly to the popular resort in the next few days to film his scenes. (ANI)
