    (IANS)

Hollywood actress Natalie Portman will be attending the 54th British Film Institute (BFI) London Film Festival to promote her new movie 'Black Swan'.

The actress is among a huge line-up of stars expected to attend the event, reports contactmusic.com.

'Black Swan', in which Portman plays a troubled ballet dancer, will be showcased at the festival. The movie had recently opened the Venice film festival.

The BFI London film fest, to be held Oct 13-28, will have a strong female presence with 57 women directors among the 197 feature films and 112 short films.

'From the playful to the precise, the surreal to the stringently social-realist, it's hard to recollect a year when the programme has been quite so diverse. Well-known and highly-regarded directors including Mike Leigh, Ken Loach, Catherine Breillat and Errol Morris would feature alongside iconoclastic provocateurs Takashi Miike, Jean-Luc Godard and Gregg Araki,' said Sandra Hebron, artistic director of the BFI London Film Festival.
