Coleen Rooney 'could get #50m' following divorce
    London Mercury

    (ANI)

'Love-rat' Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen could get a 50-million-pound divorce payout, courtesy a milestone payment won by former WAG Karen Parlour six years ago.

When her marriage to former Arsenal player Ray ended, even though there was no allegation of infidelity, Karen got their assets split, maintenance awarded and one third of his future earnings.

The precedent means that Wayne, who is negotiating a 130,000 pounds -a-week contract with Manchester United, would have to pay Coleen more than 40,000 pounds -a-week for the rest of his playing days, if they split up. That could be worth around 20 million pounds.

She would also get half his fortune, half their assets and earnings-based maintenance for baby son Kai.

"The Parlour case means footballers will be paying out big awards," the Mirror quoted lawyer Amanda McAlister as saying. (ANI)
