'Love-rat' Wayne Rooney has vowed to do anything to get his wife Coleen back in his life.

The 24-year-old England striker even pledged to put his football career on hold in a desperate bid to save his fragile marriage.

But Coleen admitted she may never be able to forgive her disgraced husband and has told her lawyers to go through their finances, in the first signal she may be planning to call time on their relationship.

"I'm desperate to get her back. I will do anything to get her back. I realize what a fool I've been and how much hurt I've caused her," the Mirror quoted emotional Rooney as telling a friend.

"I will do anything, anything, to convince her that I am truly sorry."

And Wayne who has not seen his son since arriving back in the UK after England international duty has told his friend he is desperate to be with the tot.

Close to tears he said: "I'm missing my boy so much.

"I have not been able to think of anything else."

He also said he is prepared to do whatever it takes to persuade Coleen to forgive him and to put the whole sorry episode behind them.

"I will ask for compassionate leave if necessary to meet her.

"I am prepared to miss matches, if that is what it takes." The remorseful Old -Trafford star even hopes he and Coleen can go on to have another child.

"I want another baby. I will do anything it takes to get her back.

"I have been desperate to see her since I got back I want her to know how much she means to me and how much I want her back," he added. (ANI)
