UN envoy says Pakistan should not have arrested Taliban leaders
    London Mercury
    Friday 19th March, 2010

The BBC has reported that the UN's former envoy to Afghanistan, Kai Eide, has made strong criticisms of Pakistan's recent arrest of high-ranking Taliban leaders.
The BBC has reported that the UN's former envoy to Afghanistan, Kai Eide, has made strong criticisms of Pakistan's recent arrest of high-ranking Taliban leaders.

Mr Eide said the arrests had completely stopped a channel of secret communications he was having with senior Taliban members.

He said he had been speaking to the men over the past year in benign locations such as Dubai and elsewhere.

While Pakistani officials insist the arrests were not an attempt to spoil talks, Mr Eide has claimed they should have known about the many channels of communication that had sprung up between high Taliban officials and senior representatives of the Afghan government, including President Hamid Karzai.

He said while contacts with the Taliban had accelerated in recent months, it would now take many months to re-establish confidence for any peace process to move forward.

A Pakistan military spokesman this week denied Pakistan had moved against Taliban leaders in order to stop any talks.

If you make Pak as USA ALLIE

if you make Pakistan as USA allie, then the war on terror will go forever, 10 years have passed on, but still no sign of Bin Laden, maybe he is hiding in Kayani, Zardar, Sajul Pasha, Qureshi, Nawar Sharif or maybe even Mushraff house in London. These are places Americans will not check, high diplomats buddy. Time to bomb Pakistan, so the world miseries are over

Yeah, Obama-Clinton blow the whole UN peace process with Taliban.

    (R) 2012 DAN QUAYLE Presidential Foreign Policy and Affairs / Obama’s Afghanistan War: Yeah, Mr. Kai Eide, you are right, Obama-Clinton blow the whole UN peace process already. Mr. Kai Eide, you should know Obama’s left-arm man Gen. Stanley McChrystal and Obama’s right-arm man Robert M. Gates are NOT the key men to open Mr. Kai Eide’s door, a wrong key to the U.N.; however Mr. Kai Eide, since you has the same peace goal what the 2012 DAN QUAYLE Presidential policy to end the Obama’s Afghanistan War; Mr. Eide, please stay and stand by, the 2013 US President DAN QUAYLE’s White House will still need Mr. Kai Eide to make contact with those Taliban warlords, as long as the next Taliban generation is not too radical than those '07s. Sometime, they (Taliban) are with DAN QUAYLE presidential dialogue too. May be Mr. Kai Eide to take a break to estimate how BAD the Obama-Biden’s ambition on Afghanistan Warfare have been damaged the whole UN secret contact and talk with Taliban. Oh, the 2009-2012 Obama’s CIA is NOT with Republican 2013 DAN QUAYLE’s CIA, that’s why Mr. Kai Eide is not that smoothly.

    kawahchan

I thought that you mr. Kawahchan were an intelligent racist, but when you start spouting nonsense, I think you are an indoctrinated KKK member, walking around in one of those funny clown suits. I am sure you can blog better than that and be more balanced and rational in your views. I am disappointed! Go back to the kitchen, have a cup of coffee, rearrange your thoughts and walk into the light.

    To Mr. Un - Registered

That every unregistered Pakistani thinks Osama Bin Laden is not in Pakistan. If Osama Bin Laden was even one continent closeer to USA, I bet you Mr. Unregistered, by now the entire army/navy of top brass of Pakistan would have been Guantanoma Bay. For Osama to be in Texas he has to have BALLS unfornately he has got only BOMBS. He waiting when he will die virgins are going to surrond him in heaven. What a sex manic regilon called Islam ???. Pakistan may have enough Bombs given by USA, but they are all bugged, no chance of any bomb moving with USA knowledge. Please ask Mr. Kayani and Sajul Pasha to shake his begging balls oops Bowl movement. Time to fuck Pakistan
